We did this once too in my then new-to-me 1967 Camper. It was 1984 and we were driving home from attending the L.A. Olympic games for a week from L.A. back to St. Louis, we stopped off in the Denver area to visit my in-laws who saw the Bus and promptly gave their daughter her piano that they had stored for her at their place to take home with us. After breaking out a tape measure to see if it might fit in the back, we loaded it up with less than an inch to spare on either side with cargo doors closed and drove it back to Home near St. Louis. Looked just like that photo! That same piano is less than 3 feet away from me as I type this, and my wife occasionally plays it to this day...
That photo brings back some great memories. The only thing that would be cooler is a photo/video of someone playing the piano while cruising down the road! Live music in the rear piano bar!

Yes. I searched for it 20+ years ago, and gave up, and then lucked into it six years ago.

After the restoration, I'll be hunting for a piano or organ to display in it. _________________ .

Every time we go somewhere I take a ton of pictures for some reason. Here are a few:
Boston, MA
Gov. Cuomo (Formerally TapannZee Crewcab Tom ) Bridge over the Hudson
George Washington Bridge
Dubs in the Shrubs in Jersey
My yard looking at the Rock of Ages single cab
The Notch and Jefferson Mountain
Following my lady on her bike

Haha. I have a million of them. My son usually drives so I feel compelled to capture the moments.
Thanks Bill! |
