For the Vanagon, (not the Moderators!)
Thought of this one as I saw my high beams reflected in the tailgate of a black Chevy p/up a little while ago.
Remove and replace the small square high beam with a "Rigid" cube Driving Light.
Not going to happen since they're not DOT approved highway lights...but they'd be brighter! _________________ This free advice is worth exactly what you paid for it.

A guy in my neighborhood has these on three of his vehicles; a Jeep, a Suburban and a Dodge pickup. All of them are mounted to the rear corners of the hood edge and all must be wired to the ignition, since I've never seen the lights off when the trucks are running. Each of the vehicles also has numerous amber running lights and grille-mounted light bars. Don't be that guy. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

Good point but I don't always notice where the gas filler is...
But really I just care about my vehicle in my dreams |

Eh, not hassling with loading up a car with a tent, camp stove, and water jugs for spur of the moment trips was already a dream come true.
I guess I'd settle for an easy to install upgraded gas tank (no saddle/hoses and greater capacity) and some functional skid plates for a 2WD engine/trans. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |
