Not much more than its a type 4 engine that was used in a VW bus. The only thing that visually marks it as "USED" in a bus is the plastic intake screen, the flat oil breather and the lower case mounted dipstick.

I say "used" because it could have originally been from a 411/412 wagon or even from ,914. The parts in question are easy to install on any type 4 engine.

It has twin factory looking solexes crom either US bus or Euro 411.

Nothing else to say without seeing the engine case number. Nothing can be verified without popping off a head to see piston and stroke. Pulling a valve cover could tl you head part number....so you know what the heads started out from....but no guarantee thats what thdy still are until you pull one off. Ray
