1966 single circuit MC to dual circuit MC will OG wiring work

Apologies ahead of time, sure this topic has already been covered.
August 1965 panel, have converted to 12V everything works as it should. Beginning brake refurbish and switching single circuit MC to a dual MC.
Can the dual MC be wired in to the existing single MC wiring, does an additional wire need to be run for the second switch, perhaps a jumper from one to the other?
Any advice/wisdom will be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

A jumper from to another works perfectly with a dual MC.. Good Luck!!

I would not use a jumper and I would only put one switch in. the one closest to the pushrod. it will activate the lights the fastest. the other port(s) can be blocked with brass plugs. I have done this on a type 3

I just put two switches in and only use one.

works fine. if a switch goes bad (..it has), I just flip the wiring around.
