I found this screwdriver at a thrift store today, and just thought it was a cheapo generic screwdriver but upon further inspection it has “10000 V. W-Germany” written on it. I immediately got excited seeing V W Germany thinking it might be a Volkswagen one. But after doing a bit of research it appears it could be from a Porsche toolkit? I haven’t been able to find pictures online of the exact one I have but can anyone confirm if it’s Porsche or not? Thanks!

Even if it’s not, you can never have too many screwdrivers! Razz

insulation rated to 10 kilo-Volt?
made in Western Germany

... very unlikely to be Porsche cars related Rolling Eyes

You can learn a bit more about early Porsche cars tools here:

The only ones with plastic handles had the maker inscription KLEIN on them.

A little more searching brought me here: https://www.originalporschetools.com/copy-of-early-swb-screwdrivers

Some look similar. But not quite the same. I emailed the owner of the website.

Yeah those prices are absolutely insane for a couple screwdrivers Shocked

But doing some research on Porsche sites showed ones going for similar prices…

Got a email back from originalporschetools.com and he thinks it’s from a 1969 toolkit!
