I have what I believe is an original, complete 1973 Thing engine assembly that I picked up. It came with a Solex 34PICT-3 carb and a 009 Distributor. Everything seems exactly like it should including '73 only tins and stamps on the shroud.
Did the 1973 Things (in the USA) come with 009 dizzys? |

The 009 was never on a VW vehicle from the factory, it's aftermarket only.
They came with a 113-905-205AN which has both vacuum advance and vacuum retard along with mechanical advance. _________________ Glenn

Thanks Glenn and tasb,
I have one of those from another AM block I picked up. The vacuum advance is shot though. I think both you guys rebuild dizzys. Shoot me a pm on a price. I'm trying to go back to stock.
Thanks, Bill |
