I’m curious if anyone has any tips and or tricks on removing the fuel
Pump while the engine is still in the car? The back bolt feels
Impossible to reach and turn. At least with my rudimentary set of tools.

36hp or 1600? 1600s I just remove the distributor cap and go after the front nut with a wrench. It takes a little turn at a time...then use your fingers to loosen it all the way up.

The Hazet fuel pump wrench works best. a 1/4" swivel might be short enough. 3/8" is a bit tight.

I like the 1/4” drive, 13mm swivel socket. Works on dual port end castings, too!

You are actually referring to the front nut- as in front of the car.

Bughaus in Tulsa, sells this S-shaped wrench - he claims, it's for removing the front carb-nut, but I find a 3/8 swivel for my socket, to be the best for removing the nutz on a fuel pump - try 'em both and see which one, you like best - z

Never had an issue using a short socket and a short ~1.5" swivel extension on a 3/8" ratchet

looking at his gallery pic's he is got a 36hp . can't use a wrench .
1/4 drive swivel socket a extension work best. should be 14mm
could be 13mm . rear one (front) of car is fumbly to get to .

Steve.
