Posting this to share.
I have a lowered Notchback (type 3), I think 2 outside clicks on the front, and 1 outside in the rear. I'm currently running 4x130 4 lug Mahle gas burners. (15X5.5 inches) I have 175/55/15, which makes the front end a bit too low for my tastes. So, I tried some 185/60/15 to even out the stance, which it did. Perfect, I thought.
However at full lock the tires are probably 1 mm away from the fender. If any suspension movement happens, it'll rub. I didn't want to burn paint on my fenders so went back to the 175/55/15's.
I'm sure there are plenty of people running 185/60/15 on lowered cars without issue but wanted to share my experience.
FWIW. |

I had them on the front of a bug. Their wide.
Try 175/65-15. Their my next tire to replace my 145r15’s. Look up the specs. _________________ 1973 standard, yellow, lowered, 3” narrowed front, 1600 blo-thru turbo w/single dell 15.4@86, so far
