Do you have stops on them so they do not bash in the side if the swing into it?
Like the extra fuel tank. |
Yes, they lock open 90 degree.

Hey Chris are you saying the SA fuel tank is a factory option part ?
I've seen those custom made but never herd of a factory made extra fuel tank...cool either way, nice van ! |

My van has lots of custom things, but when folks step inside what they notice the most is the US road map under plexiglas just above the rear bench/lower bunk. Everyone gets a kick out of it. The cabinet is about half has high as the OEM cabinet, so it allows far better rear mirror efficacy, and no banging of my head in the mornings. The storage opening is protected by bungee netting.
We use overhead pens to mark routes on the map, and the plexiglas can be opened to slip photos, grocery lists, or other important documents inside for easy viewing/access.
Laying in bed in the lower bunk at night, it's a joy to recall the roads the van has traveled on this map.

Thanks... my understanding of the SA Aux is that it was an aftermarket part in that region. _________________ Chris

I put some "edge trim" on the side of my hatch to prevent the tire carrier from scratching the paint off the hatch.
It's about $15.00 on Amazon.

Mine do not hit... they lock open wide enough for the rear gate. _________________ Chris

ABA w/supercharger. I'm not aware of any others like it.

As I look at your picture again (perhaps it's the angle), but does your carrier lock at 90 degree out? My pic where I'm washing my van, they're in the locked out position. I cannot swing them in without pushing a metal unlock mechanism. Just curious now... LOL _________________ Chris
