1962-1965 beetle wiring diagram - redrawn as PDF file

Hi there.

I distilled a 62 to 65 wiring diagram from the JBugs and Clymer diagrams.

* Added wire gages
* Added some things like high/low beam relais,
* Added an optional clamp 15 relais
* Added carb cut off valve.

I'd be happy if some of you could please proof read it and give me some feedback for improvements. Commas and dots in wire gauges are mixed, I just noticed.

I think the only think I noticed that needed correction was the 'relais'. It should be spelled 'relay'. Relays would be plural but since the diagram is calling out each individual relay its just 'relay'.

Very nice job! It looks to me based on the right vs left and front to back you have spark plug #2 and #3 transposed.

Battery ground strap goes to the body, not engine. Ghia goes directly to the engine.

Starter solenoid would be good to list.

Looks great!

Only other thing that I can think of to be updated is to show the chassi to transaxle ground strap. Mayhaps it could be squeezed in between the starter and battery.

Might be that it would be a bit clearer to newer folk if #1 & 2 spark plugs were on the other side (upper of diagram) of the distributor.

Release 10: Added ground strap #2. Might change the spark plug and distributor arrangement tomorrow.

Release 11: Changed position of distributor, spark plugs and stuff.

Hope I didn't introduce new bugs features.
