Installed my new LiFePo4 battery and renogy 30a DCC30S power and now my voltage jumps around 13.3, 13.9, 14.1, 13.8, 13.7, 13.3, 13.1 etc. The way I'm measuring it is a Voltmeter replaced in the cigarette lighter spot (fuse 3 1990 westy). Prior to Renogy the voltmeter would stay pretty static around 13.9.

This an alternator on it's way out the door? Not tight enough belt? Bad voltage regulator?

first off, readings off the cig lighter are meaningless due to the drastic voltage drop from anything going on in the dash. you've got a seriously expensive battery so you need to measure accurately. right off the battery post itself.

without seeing your wiring diagram of how the house battery is connected to the starting battery, battery isolation, and where the Renology fits into all this, there's little that can be deduced from afar. but your starting point is battery voltages measured directly from the battery.

The fuse 3 is still tied to my starter battery and my starter.battery is a duralast that passed earlier battery testing. There is an 8awg wire going from starter battery positive fused 50amp to Renogy Alt+. Renogy to lithium with 8awg 40amp. The issue is the charge into the lithium from Renogy also is sporadic. One second, 30 amps of charge, then 0amps charge for a minute.

you've set the Alt+ side battery type as well as the service side type?

that's a nice DC-DC charger, isolator, and controller!

You set just the house battery (I think) and that is blue for lithium. Sent a case to Rrnogy in case there's an issue.

page 12 of your instructions say to set battery type for each side.

That button is only for your house battery, not starter battery.
