I had to get a new door.... ended up with a 75, or newer. Trying to re-assemble the guts. When I got the door it was NAKED. Hell, at the time, I figured a door was a door..... I was wrong.
So my problem today, 2 years after I dismantled both doors, I am trying to install the guts.
Does an early bay use this channel? My 72 drivers door has a square hole for the clip and a captured nut for the bottom.
My new replacement door does not have that.
I know the lever is different, what else am I gonna run into?
Found this pic on here, not my situation....
parts in the BOX....

That extra channel was deleted ~74-75, so your new door likely never had it. It all seems to work the same even with it missing.
Aside from that and the inner handle the rest should be the same, look over the hinges to make sure they match. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

i am sure once I get more assembled i will have more questions. I used the kit to fit the hinges and have an inner lever on the way.
Thanks for the confirmation.
