Wow! That looks great. I like it. I Have two jacks and it's obviously not a priority, but some day, I plan to restore them both. Very Happy
What did it look like before you detailed it?

Thanks!
I should have taken a “before” photo.
It was definitely worn and covered with surface rust
I found this picture in the classifieds which is a fair representation of what it looked like.

Here ya go!

Dave Spieler (VW dodge) supplied me with a near NOS Continental 3/4” whitewall.
I like it much better than the generic “Winston” spare.

My that is a sweet time machine.

Looks amazing. You're really keeping busy, and having lots of fun. Your seats and your dash top look awesome. What are you using to keep them looking so good?

It really is fun (mostly).
As far as the interior, it’s really well preserved.
I haven’t used anything more than a damp microfiber towel followed by a dry one.

I was getting 'Schooled" on what might be incorrect for a 1967 Karmann Ghia Laughing

Sounds like a good reason to avoid VW specific shows.

Nooo, they're fun, especially if you've got something unusual on your car like a supercharger. Back in the late '90s there were probably only 2 on the UK show circuit. I never corrected anyone, it was fun to listen the high-flying theories. Very Happy

I’ve already had a run in with my local. Posted a request on their Facebook page for anyone interested in a small Ghia Gathering in my end of the state and made the mistake of saying that it seemed that most shows were on the other end.

Hoo boy did the sparks fly! Seems I hit a nerve concerning show placement. It also seemed they thought I was trying to set up another official show on my own. Jeez, was just trying to check out Ghias around me.

So you might see why I am a little reticent to meet up in person.
I’m even a little concerned just posting this tale!

Actually, VW shows are the best!
Not too many stock snobs. The ones that really know there stuff are usually very helpful to the point of even offering useful goodies you didn't even know you needed!
Such a great way to network.
I did find out the wire to Joan's generator is routed incorrectly. That's about it.
My club, the COVVC will be hosting "Volksfest" again this year. Number 31 and counting. We normally draw about 300 cars and a couple thousand spectators.
https://www.covvc.org/ I'm lucky to have this one almost in my backyard.
There are so many great VW events near us over the summer. The west coast has nothing on us flatlanders Smile
