chassis no is 182 but LHD

I have just got a trekker project and the chassis number starts with 182 but its a LHD. I thought all 182 models were RHD. I'm new to trekkers so only starting to get into the details. anyone know is this is correct?

182 The "2" is for 1972.

You were probably thinking of the type 183 designation for all right had cars.

181 designation is LHD (left hand drive)
182 designation is RHD (right hand drive)

The original poster was mixing up the VIN with the model #.
