We are on vacation this week and part of next, but here is a teaser:
The joints are at the local shipping terminal waiting for us to return before making their final leg to our doorstep. |
Hopefully, that delivery has shock extensions and sway links too. _________________ 83 Air-cooled 2.0 Tin Top |

Perhaps a dumb question but ... I got these UBJ's for my '89 Syncro Westy and was wondering about adding molly since the boots feel empty. Do I? How much? Before or after they're installed. Thanks, all.
This from Chris @T3 - The boots are not supposed to be full. If they were full, when the suspension articulates, the compression of the boots would force the grease out of the boot and can actually damage the boot. There is already grease in the joint on the backside. As the joint articulates, the grease is spread around inside the joint itself. If you want to add a little bit more grease, that’s not going to hurt anything, but add just a bit. It doesn’t take much.

Just a quick note to say that ALL ball joints are back in stock now and the minor fitment issue mentioned earlier in this thread has been resolved.
Lower ball joints and the standard upper ball joints are available to ship out immediately. The tall upper ball joints are here, but many were lost in shipping. That needs to be resolved before we start shipping those out, but hopefully, we can release the quantity we have by the end of this week.
For those who have upper joints on order, there's a huge backlog of orders to fill, so please be patient. Your order will be shipped as soon as absolutely possible. Thanks for your patience. _________________ "Sometimes you have to build a box to think outside of." - Bruce (not Springsteen)
