If the cap is a direct replacement for the Bosch then... yes.
For the 6 cylinder Mercedes from the 50s and early 60s the Beru caps is half the cost of the Bosch.
Bosch 03 212 $28.49
Bremi 22-8059 $12.17 _________________ Glenn

Beru and Bremi are both OE parts suppliers.
In fact Bosch discontinued 01 001 points. Both Bremi and Beru sell them but they are the exact same part made by a 3rd party in the same factory, just boxed in Bremi and Beru boxes.
BTW I had a customer send me a distributor to rebuild and he included a set of points he got from the local Porsche dealer.... they were the same points that Bremi and Beru sell. Just 4 times the price.
Bosch is not as good as it used to be. Many Bosch parts are made in 3rd world locations by outsourcers.
I can show you a Bosch 02 006 condenser that's also sold by Bremi. The only difference is the Bosch is stamped Bosch where the Bremi is not.
Bosch, Bremi and Wolfsburg West tune up parts.

On the topic of distributors, replacing points. It had been 20ish years from the last time I dealt new points. I proceeded to set the gap via the "dwell" method without luck?! I completely forgot that you need to wipe the electrical contact surfaces clean of the assembly gunk otherwise it may not conduct. With a button down shirt, I would open the spring loaded contacts, place my shirt inside, let the spring load clamp my shirt and then rub them up and down to clean the surfaces. Just sharing my stupidity and showing my age. Hope this may help someone out there.
