Hey guys, I’m going through my bay window parts horde trying to downsize and sell a bunch of it. I came across these heat control boxes which are different than a standard bus. Pic below… left is a regular bus heat control and right is the one I need help with. The outlet is at a different angle and the lever is in a different spot. I don’t THINK they are 914 ones…. Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely 75-79 Beetle. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

From what I can see, the late beetle and bus control boxes are the same… was there a variation? _________________ '77 Westfalia Bus

Since the control arm is meant to be pulled from the opposite direction, then that would imply they were for a Porsche 914. The angle of the outlet doesn't appear to be the same though, but maybe Dansk just made a poor "kinda fits" reproduction?

Maybe you have some kind of Zamboni or other VW industrial engine part? |

I was thinking the heater cables were on the other sides and lower, like earlier models, apparently Beetle are indeed the same as bus.
But the 914 ones in the classifieds sure look like yours:
