Fuel pushrod not pushing

My wife instruct me to get the 71 Ghia vert online 4 fall foliage tour been stored 2 + yrs. Would not start no fuel going 2 webers got new pump when installing went 2 measure stroke "0". rod not stuck or damaged so what's going on?

Are you saying the rod does not move up or down as you turn the engine? Does the distributor rotor turn? Was it running when you stored it 2 years ago?

Yes the engine will pop with starter fluid distributor rotates and was running fine when put it into induced coma after following all recommended long term down time procedures now no push no pump no run ??

Maybe this photo that was recently posted in the Thing forums will help? You can see how the eccentric lobe on the distributor gear drives the fuel pump push rod up and down.

If it was running and everything is in place, the only thing I can think of is maybe the plastic guide the rod slides through has broken off and jammed the rod from moving downward? Where does your rod currently sit? Is it down flush with the plastic stand or is it up high? That might give some clues.

Could the pushrod be stuck in the UP position ? Can you pull the pushrod out readily?

Day 2 root cause failure investigation down-up-down will try endoscope to see what happened down there
