I have an issue where both dog legs were welded on with poor alignment (before I bought the bus). It annoys me every time I look at it, and I am trying to figure out if I can fix it. I have a welder, but no cutter.

I was looking to see if I could easily break a few spot welds, align it and re-weld it with better alignment, but it doesn’t look straight forward…

Hmmm...., there's a ton of spot welds all along where it meets the floor and seat stand, and a bunch more as well as some MIG beads where it meets the A & B pillars. At least that's how VW did it, whoever installed those could have done almost anything. Confused

How's the rest of the door gaps front, back and along the top?, a little door tweaking would be a whole lot less work.

You’d be better off replacing them than trying to adjust them.

If I remember correctly, to adjust the areas that you're pointing out you'll need to separate the inside and outside of the dog legs and re-weld them.

I got mine to fit without opening them up but check out this video from Glideking ===> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sexLbz4W9N8
