Rocker panel removal?

J bought a 66 ruby red bug in the summer of 2018, I have gotten around to restoring it and noticed no bolts holding the left side rocker in? It it welded on it am I missing something here?

I think you mean "Running Board" not rocker panel.

They are attached to the heater channel (the real rocker panel) and the front and back guards with bolts.
