Hi there,
Does anyone know the length the oil studs should hang down from the case, no gaskets, strainer, or plate installed? I know the studs themselves are 23mm by 6x1.00mm thread.
Do the studs screw into the case a set depth and stop, other than the pickup tube one, or are they like ceiling light mounting brackets and will just spin up into the case? The Bentley doesn’t have that detail listed, that I can find anyway.
My engine is bone stock and so is the sump plate cover. I just finished changing the oil and I believe the last nut I tightened sheared the stud off well before getting to 5lb. I’m gonna order replacement studs and acorn nuts to have at the ready. Thanks in advance.
