Hi guys I’m going to run a 1600 single port in my 68 with a dual relief case but use the stock 1500 cooler,fan housing,correct 205m distributor 30 pict 2 carb and pierburg square top pump.anyways would I be ok using the non late (71+) cooling system or do I need to use it?I plan on the tennis ball trick as well..thanks

I would use a dog house shroud and fan. With the decklid up you'll never know and the engine will run it's best.

30PICT2 and 205M are just fine.

If the '68 fan and shroud don't provide adequate cooling I would look for the reason first. If you must buy a fan and shroud, then yes, doghouse will be the way to go.
