Some photos of my 53, eventually had the logbook registration through and overhaul work carried out. Now looking forward to driving it .

That bug is gorgeous.
The red buggy in the background looks familiar, I saw one on the television a few days ago that looked just like it.
Some rather entertaining chap was driving it. |

mayzie, you have a lovely Beetle! Can it be that the paint is factory original?
Being a left-hand drive, from which country did it come? What is that oval badge on the windshield header above the left sun visor?
Does your country's registration laws now allow the use of the original semaphore/trafficator turn indicators on classic vehicles? |

Hi thanks, some of the paint is original but has had wings repainted and quarter panel. The car is originally from Sweden and the badge above the sun visor seems to be a dealership tag or something not quite sure?
Yes I can use the semaphore indicators in the uk , I believe they were not allowed to use the semaphores in Sweden that’s why there are small holes around the semaphores where they covered them over. |

Yeah I was going to have the interior re-trimmed but a few people have advised to keep it original as possible as it is a very early oval being a 3rd day production car ? |
