I had a crummy bench vise at my place up north. A couple of years ago I bought a 5" nice Craftsman bench vise from a Craigslist ad, was right on my way too. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. I have a small workbench. I put my vise on the bench where I wanted it to be. I marked the two bottom holes on the bench. Removed the vise, drilled the two holes in the bench. I placed two thick bolts through the bench, washer and nuts on them and store the vice underneath. Whenever I need it, I just remove the bolts, put the vice on the bench and then put the bolts back in. Tighten it all up and it's ready to go. _________________ John
