Hey, folks.
Is anybody familiar with the '72 VW bus brake lines?
Looking to confirm whether the lines are 3/16" and what style\size of fittings they have?
Going to work on replacing my master cylinder over the next few days...
Thanks in advance.

The right search term here is

“Brake line flare fitting”

With one such thread here

https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=674869&highlight=brake+flare+fittings

Short version is these cars use metric 10x1 bubble flare fittings , available at NAPA

Once some people add better info here , I’ll pm the mods go link this into the FAQ thread above

Took down the master cylinder today. Confirmed M10-1 bubble flare lines.

I'm trying to install a non-native brake booster and came down to an issue of needing adapters.
Anybody can suggest a good shop for these?

My booster uses M12-1 nuts and is meant for 1/4" inverted double flare brake lines.
The bus (as discovered) uses 3/16" bubble flare brake lines with M10-1 nuts.
To join the two I'd need to find reducers male 1/4" to female 3/16" with appropriate flares.
