93 Eurovan with 2.5L AAF engine….Lifter on Cylinder #3 measures out of spec with over 0.1mm gap between lifter and cam lobe according to Bentley. All other lifters within spec. Compression: 170,160,180,155,175. Incidentally found there are 2 of 4 rubber fittings missing that the rocker cover sits on-can see in picture 2 below. I have driven 10k since purchased a year ago, van has 180k. Had a bit of oil seeping from rocker cover corners.
New to Eurovan’s—Really enjoying! Also need a bit of advice with lifter. Bentley recommends replacing lifters that are out of spec. The cam looks like has some wear, the brown on the cam lobes in the picture is not oil. Is it reasonable to replace the one lifter with a new lifter or all lifters? Open to advice.
Thank you

Are your lifters making any noise? If its quiet, then chances are that lifter is working fine when pressurized with oil. If not, perhaps new lifters are warranted. If I were doing one, I'd do all ten, they are cheapish, compared to the hassle of changing them. |

There is lifter noise, better when warmed up-but always there. I appreciate the input, thank you! |

Theonetruequux more or less responded with what I was going to say if your lifters were hydraulic and you had lifter noise. |
