90 tintop with manual 4 speed.
I plan to replace the bulkhead bushings, and ball/socket.
I only have one day to do it.
Looking for tutorials, pointers, do's and don'ts.
Thanks in advance

Mark the position (depth and orientation) of the splines connecting the two rods.

That’s about an hour saved right there.

It’s not too bad, as long as you’re not battling rust. I would still plan to replace fasteners, along with everything else if you only have 1 day.

There is no need to split the rods. The bushing in the center that is bolted to the bulkhead, I just take it apart and cut the old one out and then neatly slice the new one and put it back in place. Of course you need to grease it up when you install it.

The rear guide piece at the end of the shaft you can just drive the roll pin out with it installed in the vehicle.

Don’t overthink it, it should take about / hours if your hardware is good. Take note of how the selector mount on the trans as well as the location of the mounting plate as there are numerous ways to mount it it only one correct way.
