No doubt. If that is Hector's old bus he had some clean two tone stock rims with big logo caps and huge white walls on it when it was his. I understand his want for a window bus though, I just figured whoever bought it, bought it to keep it not to turn it.....if it is his old bus.
Hey, lets get some photos of that new 13window. _________________ Oil Capital Air Cooled

good eye. Funny too, cause the seller lives in Dallas Texas and says in the description that it is his daily driver. hmmmm _________________ Oil Capital Air Cooled

That is definitely Hector's bus. Back window covered in decals, Ok plate and one of the cargo doors shows black spray paint around inside edges.
At one time I offered to trade my 65 to him but I couldnt go thru with it, I just couldn't give up my 65 with sealing wax red.
Instead I have picked up a 63 Panel in GREAT condition from Art out in SLC and have kept the 65.
I emailed the seller letting him know about the history of the bus but he never commented on that.
It was Hector's daily driver but definitely not the guy in Dallas. Anyone know or have seen what Hector got in return for his panel?? _________________ 1960 VW Single Cab |

It is my old panel. We traded. I did not know he was going to sell it so fast. I now have a 65 13 window. I don't know much about it. It needs a lot of work. But now i can take some of my kids out for a ride. I'm looking for a middle bench for it. I just need something that fits, even a bay window one. It needs some work to get it to the condition my DD was in. But , if i had to do it over, i may not have been so quick to trade. Specially now that i see what i could of sold it for on ebay. I have a serious project on hand now, and i will start working on it soon. It drives good, but the engine keeps stalling out at idle. Just need to tinker with it on the weekend. I do drive it to work everyday. It handles a lot better than my panel did. The front end is really thight. Tranny shifts and runs very smooth. I need door handles or maybe two complete front doors. The alignmnet is not the best. I'll post some pics for you guys. Then you all can help me restore it. Or give me some advice. Thanks guys. _________________ 67 Ghia coupe, Retired military.
