The searches I've done on here indicate that wire tube for the main harness was used until 65 and 66-on the harness ran under the sill plate.

I'd like to get a pic of the area where the tube comes out in the drivers footwell (I presume) and where it starts at the back. I've done some searches, but nothing has shown up as yet (many dead links though).

Hoping someone can help with this.

Here is a link to Danny Gabbards ad where he is reproducing a portion of the tube where it enters/exits the rocker. Looks to be front passenger side. It may be helpful to you.

I had come across both pics, but I didn't realize the tube was on the RHS (even for LHD cars) so was looking in the wrong place.

From the end of the tube, how does the harness make its way into the trunk? And, how does one get access to this tube? Is it behind the fender opening that's in the wheel well?

How does the harness reach the tube from the engine compartment?

Thanks!

The loom goes upwards to the apex of the guard and finds its way thought a hole in the corner next to the air mixers. There are a couple of grommets there as well.

Yes, the sill mud covers come out to reveal the tube.

It exits the compartment though a small almost triangular panel atop the wheel arch and under the inside of the rear guard. It goes via a small hole and grommet. Then it goes over the rear wheel arch. There are clips on the wheel tub to hold it in place. The path goes to the bottom of the arch near the rear seat between the quarter panel and the lining under the rear side window. There is an entry into the sill tube there.

Its not an easy thing to get to , but you donít need to get to it with any frequency.

Thanks! I found that triangular panel with the hole. Now just need to figure out how to get a harness from the hole to the tube.

If I've followed you correctly -- from the hole that's on top of the wheel tub, it goes forward and down along the front curve of the wheel well. And is held there with clips. When it gets to the bottom, it enter the sill tube.

Is the access to the front portion of the wheel well until it gets to the sill tube by removing the rear interior side panel?

Thanks!

Does any one have a picture of the entrance/exit at the rear section before it goes up over the wheel arch?

I was able to answer my own question. Just had to find the right search terms. This post has great pictures of where the tube comes out at the rear.
