Here's my 1973 VW Super Beetle. if you will look in the top right corner next to the hinge, it is some type of relay. What is it? It has 5 prongs on it. I've looked at the wiring diagram I don't see it on it. Help me out if you have any information on it.

That relay- does it have black markings/schematic on it such as a factory-style unit? Do the wires connected to it have the blue plastic collars at the spade terminals such as the unconnected ones in the foreground? That relay area is dark so it's not visible in the photo. If so, such collars and spade terminals indicate aftermarket/post-dealer work so that the relay "could" be a regular "work" relay with 2 equal outputs (both have terminal numbers 87) such as used for a pair of driving or fog lamps. Such relays have 3 terminals for input, and usually 1 for output but certain types can also have 2 for output (terminal numbers 87 and 87a for a switching-type use; called a "change-over" relay).

Factory-installed horns are usually located in the left (driver's side) wheelwell towards the front of the car; mounted on a bracket that is on the body or bumper bracket. Here's one on a '71 Super Beetle (tthoms gallery)-

Any holes in the body where A/C lines would have passed through?

Looks like the headlight toggle relay. What are the terminals labeled as?
