I had to stiffen up this pulley tool to keep it from bending on a rusted on pulley.
Figured I wanna see everyone else's tool improvements . . LOL
At least I finally found a use for that stupid 12 mm wrench.

I used some Appalachian engineering to attempt the miserable job of crawling in the footwell to set a clutch pedal return spring.
Actually worked 😃!

And those who own nothing but Japanese cars would say the same for the 13 mm version, I lost my Craftsman 12 mm a few years ago and kind of miss it (I have Hondas too), your savagery pains me. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I've been struggling with the same thing , that dang spring is the tough. Tried a coat hanger
Wasn't thick enough, what did you use? Looks like a spring? |

I wrapped tempered wire around a 6-8” piece of rubber fuel hose the wrapped everything with gorilla tape.
Crude but it worked. _________________ "Depression is a malfunction of the instrument we use to determine reality.”

No - they wouldn't !!! Because spare metric 8mm x 1.25mm bolts and nuts at places like Home Depot, Lowes, Ace all take 13mm wrenches. If one wants replacement hardware for the Japanese vehicles that use the 12mm wrench, must be lucky to find JIS hardware in little drawers at Ace or go to a Japanese vehicle dealership. Even the "Japanese" vehicles made in USA like my 1998 and 2004 Frontiers use the JIS bolts and nuts.
Anyway, my home-made extra-long 10mm combination wrench may look funny, but does its job on fan clutch nuts on my 1988 Mazda truck and my 2 Frontiers. Note the ground-down box end too.

Yeah, that was a waste of a well-made 12mm. Not the junk sold under that label today.
A harbor fright wrench would have found its purpose there _________________ .ssS!

It has a lock cylinder stuck on the sheet metal screw tip, had to yank an ignition cylinder the other day. |

Well I don't have a picture handy but when I had issues with splitting a block and couldn't find my splitter I - took an old oil pump, cut it in half (horizontally) with my band saw and used a mechanical expander inside the pump to separate the case sides. Saved my case from getting banged up (if you don't have/can't find your case splitter tool). |

Steering idler pin bushing drift...
...a spark plug socket wrapped in electrical tape and short extension bar.
The fat end worked for drifting the old bush out. The other end has a hex to fit a spanner round. That end fit exactly inside the bushing, so I used that end to drift the new bushing in. The electrical tape prevented marring of the bushing surface. _________________ Andy
