Hi, the normal lug nuts are 60 degree taper, or R14 ball radius. My Erco wheels have a 90 degree taper machined into them, and i am having no luck finding nice, black open end M14x1.5 lug nuts for them. Has anyone else had the same problem?

I have some porsche open end lug nuts with a radius (ball) seat, i chucked one in the lathe and ground a 90 degree taper with the tool post grinder, but since they are hardened it takes forever... but i guess if i cant find something suitable to buy i just may have to go that route, but i would like to avoid it if possible. So if anyone has any ideas or sources of 90 degree taper lug nuts, throw them out here please Smile

Figured i’d post an update/resolution to this; could not find any nuts that had the right taper, so i ended up machining all the lug nut seats in the wheels to R14 ball seat so that i could use standard lug nuts.

I used these washers when I had Douglas spun aluminum wheels. Their flat on the backside. Not sure if Eric is the same.
