Heap of turds for the most part. Either butchered, rusty or beaten to death…like most Ghias. Difference being making a lowlight right is very, very expensive. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

You must have meant this one Marc.

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to low-lights but the 57 looks decent.
It's in Germany.

Hope everyone posts whatever lowlight they find for sale no matter what the condition. But, yeah, that one looks pretty sweet. _________________ 1973 Porsche 914 2.0

The original color was trout blue on the car. He knows the paint is not OG color. I know this car & owner personally. Won't comment on the price, but it is a cool car.

I can't see the point of advertising the original colour when every trace is sadly missing...one of my favourite Lowlight colours. The interior matches the later exterior. |
The ash tray was left the original paint, lol. He has talked about going back to the stock color. Maybe a nice 36 horse too. |

I think as Lowlights have increased in value over the last 10 years, you're not going to find a lot of love for the custom variety, especially here in a specialist forum. There are plenty of people still looking for Lowlights but factor in the cost of restoring the colour, engine and interior of your friend's car, makes it a non-starter at $35k. _________________ John.

Yes, you are preaching to the choir. Not my car, not my sale, but still a cool old ghia regardless. If it were mine id happily drive it & restore to it's former glory. |

Although I agree that a low-light deserves more respect than that one received, I do like the way they finished it. The sad part is that the same look could have been accomplished with a later, more abundant model. For the record, I would never molest a low-light ...if I could afford one.

That's quite a reasonable price, as far as European prices go. I wonder what's wrong with it, says the demon sitting on my shoulder. |
