Has anyone ever used okrasa heads but without twin carbs instead modified the manifold to accept a Judson? |

You would get better power with dual carbs than a jusdon ..judson is basically for stock engines and looks and to be like look how much I spent on my judson... can you adapt one with okeasa sure can but you will over drive the judson and next min a rebuild and rebuilding a judson is vary vary expensive ...you will get more power with dual carbs and save thousands ....but if that's what you want okrasa heads with a judson hey to all reach its own if that's what you want do it but the power is not what you think it will be ...I remember hearing a guy who had a stock 36hp engine he dyno it and than he installed a judson and dyno it and his 36hp with the judson made less hp than when it was stock like what ?? If you want to show off to say look how much money I just spent than a judson is for you... I would run a judson only if it was 100% rebuild and given to me for free lol thats when I would install one on my engine other than that I would pass dual carbs seems to do better ...if you want a supercharger the pepco/ speedwell is much better than a judson but than again those have a limit as well ... |

I’ve been running a Judson for the last twenty years. I fully rebuilt it with a new T6 rotor, vanes and bearings etc so it’s all good. The motor that it’s on needs a rebuild , so far I have nos b+p, it will be running a repo ww okrasa cam, new lifters, an original 64mm okrasa crank, original okrasa heads, full flow oil etc etc.
Just wondering if anyone else has adapted the manifold really.
I will make my own manifold but it’s nice to see pics if it’s been done before. |

I've haven't seen anyone with that setup ..most likely because like I said above ...okrasa heads like to breath judsons are restrictive to the motor and you will over drive the judson and the vanes will wear out do to the higher revs ...there were plenty of folks who just big bores and found out the judson would over work its self most found that they work best with a stock setup I've seen guys who think when they over Rev there judson and hear all that clacking it's normal but it's really not ...like I said if that's what you want to do do it but ..I just thought I'll give my insight on what you may or may not expect ... |

It’s been a long road to get here. Much modified and all ready to fire up.

If you haven't seen his build on Instagram you're missing out. The finished project is extremely EPIC, but if you saw the details in that setup....
I've never seen anyone do that to that standard. _________________

Thanks very much
Some more build pictures. I would later find out that my original okrasa crank was not 64mm as advertised but 69mm instead so that changed quite a bit of my original build idea. I ended up using AA two piece lifters, cb pushrods and spacing out the barrels to get my compression right.

I used late a model manifold which I cut up and made new mounting flanges and match ported to the heads.
