i saw a pic here in samba... with a blanket VW? any input on these? searched the forums but nothing

I noticed the blanket actually says "Volkswagenwerk", so this is probably factory property, like from a first-aid kit or something. _________________ Rebuilt to drive not decorate. -VOLKSWAGNUT

historic wool blanket approx. 130x180 cm or 51"x71" with woven "Volkswagenwerk" inscript. There are several versions over the time.
The same blankets existed long time in the German military, police and other authorities with their woven inscripts.
It's for people as some kind of rescue blanket - not for cars
Must have been in the early 50's and 60's at Volkswagen.
Rare today and usually expensive (~ $250-400), so more for decoration and less for working in one's own workshop. If you have one, take good care of it.
