I’ll be running this Ghia all stock height with og hubcaps and trim rings. I need a single 10-60 wheel to restore for my spare.

It has these pop out chrome buttons with 2 holes, I’ve seen these before on windows at the swap meet but wonder when they stopped using these.
The glove box decal is in mint condition
Any ideas on how to get the radio delete seal to sit flat again?
Interior is all original but very crispy
I need a 61 only wiper nozzle chrome cover
I repaired the original carpet
Found the original key on a key ring for another ghia from the guys collection of cars so I was able to get that. That was very unexpected but very exciting
I can not wait till I exposed and polish all of that original paint. Just look at the reflection already
And how do you tell the years on these 60s banana lights, I’ve really only ever played with lowlight Ghias so this 60s stuff is all new to me _________________ These vws are cool but the people who own them are far more valuable. Keep friends close they can be taken away overnight.

I’m loving this resurrection. I wonder if you can dye the carpets to get that beautiful blue back?
On the block off seal, couldn’t you just remove the plate and maybe submerge the seal in hot water to make it pliable and then reshape it?
What are you doing about your seat covers? Are they salvageable? _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Well I had a thought has the seat cover was cracking from me using it as a “office” chair that just maybe the og cover is there on the bottom and the most important part is, the original ice blue insert and in pretty good shape almost in fact it can be Restiched and re used. What do you think
I can only imagine what this Ghia looked like when it was new I bet it looked sharp _________________ These vws are cool but the people who own them are far more valuable. Keep friends close they can be taken away overnight.

The white vinyl you can get from TMI or if you aren’t too worried about it being exact, on line for much cheaper.
Being the old covers or seats to an upholsterer to use as patterns.
They might have to reduce the size of the cloth inserts where they likely tore out when the vinyl gave way, but so what, saving the cloth is the main thing. It’s expensive and takes forever to get it even if SMS has it. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

So I’ve tinkered the last few days and got it running and driving. My brother also got his notch up and running again so I figured a picture would be cool

yes but they are very brittle any ideas on how to soften them up again? I’ve driven it a few times and getting in and out even carefully is cracking the drivers up pretty bad already…. _________________ These vws are cool but the people who own them are far more valuable. Got it all ready and made it to the Porsche show on Saturday
And then bug o Rama on Sunday.
Also relooking at the paper work I got with the Ghia I have history dating back to February 5th 1962. I’ll post the story and photo off the paperwork soon. I am very excited to have this a driver. _________________ These vws are cool but the people who own them are far more valuable. Keep friends close they can be taken away overnight.

I’ve put about 600 trouble free miles so far on this mystery 40hp
So about 5 years I stumbled onto this 64 coupe here in phoenix and the couple did not want to sell. Flash forward to last Friday when they brought it into my shop with a big forsale sign in the back window. Made a phone call to my buddy and it’s now his. It’s just a straight as mine with only a minor kiss up front years ago. And no rust.
I’ve done some tinkering here and there and I’ll post some more updates soon.
Someone buy my 59 Ghia lol _________________ These vws are cool but the people who own them are far more valuable. Keep friends close they can be taken away overnight.
