I’m rebuilding a set of ndix carbs and the rebuild kit comes with two types of gaskets for the choke, one solid and one just the perimeter. I took a couple carbs apart, one with the choke installed, one with just a block off plate. The one with the plate had the gasket with only the perimeter sealed and the one with the choke had a solid gasket. It would seem the opposite would be correct, the solid gasket would block any airflow created by the choke rotating and opening or closing passage ways. Anyone know which is the correct gasket? I intend to run a set of dual carbs with no chokes…

neither gasket. one is for electric choke and the other is for engine heat choke.
you're going to have to get really creative or supply the thread with better diagrams and photos. 40 years ago it was considered hercules to be able to make them reliable, thats why they so cheap. _________________ ( ) Cheap

Use the solid ones if if not using chokes. |
