When is the last time your torque wrench was calibrated? I find mine need to be done every couple years. It's something that many people ignore...

different lubes give different torques. or preload.the tq is the same but the preload is different as is bolt stretch.or thread deformation. you need to find out just how much difereance and adjust for that. some manufactured of lubes have that figure most dont. you can do your own test to find out the differances. I think this is why the TTY stuff has come into play. you torque to a bout half them go so many degrees. the half figure wont change much with lubes but the full amount will, so a predetermined degree of rotation will not change no mater what lube you use...unless your a moron.oh crap i forgot what site Im on.sorry glenda. of coarse then the morons may just torque half way then turnaround&do the hokeybokinpokey and turn around again thus either loosening the fastner or striping it out. either way dosent really matter.
