the right rear area of the wheel arc had to be cut too.
i used an oscillating saw and a newer blade, because the old one was worn out:

Yes, this is the Spirit of the Supercars of the late sixties and beginning seventies.
I intended to add some Lamborghini Espada 2. Series Front Turn Signals, but in the end i decided to go the way of the Prototype Car with Turn Signals in the mirrors, called "Talbot Blinkspiegel 300".
The rear will get, instead of using the lights from the Karmann Ghia Type 34, some lights of the Lamborghini Miura 1. Series.

How about new Dogde Challenger headlights? If there’s space. Very sinister looking.

I try to use as many parts that are from that era. So no new stuff.
No Led stuff, No newer parts than from 1970 up.
In the case of the headlights, the donor parts were from a 1970 produced Opel Manta A.
The seats were taken from a Simca Rally 2 from 1968.

Hey, i haven't wrote a word for a long time now. So time to change that.

The reason for stopping on the Bonanza GT is, that i am doing two Cars at the Same time. (Well, to be honest three Cars. But this is another Story.)

The second one is a 65 Beetle that must bei ready in August 2024. This is the date when my so'n gets 18 and is allowed to drive a normal car here in Germany. Actually he is driving a 45 km/h car

But in between, i found some time to take care of getting parts for the Bonanza GT.
This year on Maikäfertreffen in Hannover (the biggest aircooled meeting in Germany) i could get a vintage Set of Kamei fiberglass Sport highback seats. Very rare!

Pic will follow

I can sit better on them in comparison to the Simca Rally 2 seats. So i swapped them, changed the sliding mechanism again to fit the Kamei seats.

Pic will follow

Talking about the Car interior.
I had choosen the interiors color. It was a light brown, almost sand colored fake leather.

After i got that material, i was a little bit disappointed. It was a thin material, more useful on a Sofa surface.

The upholstery guy persuaded me to better use high grade fake leather for cars or even (more expensive) real leather.

The upholstery guy is trying to fool me. He doesn't want to give me a fix price.
This is something i really don't liike.
The let's call it 'Minimum price' of this Guy was already my Maximum price to pay. For Fake leather, Not real leather.
I guess he wants to make some nice Holidays with my hard earned Money.
Probably i will have to look for another upholstery guy.

I had the Idea to use turn signals from a Lamborghini Espada 2. Series. This little fellow:

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

But in the end i wasn't happy with it. Too chunky...so one step back. Returning to the 'original' configuration. The Blinkspiegel 300 from Talbot in Berlin.
Because of them being so rare, i decided to search for similar aftermarket parts. They aren't looking the same, but they are close. After purchasing them, i could go to the next step. Closing the holes in the front.

Seat question...

There are no existing pictures of the interiors from the Prototype.
The seats couldn't be that big, because there is mot that much room in the Car.

My way to use Simca Rally 2 seats was pragmatic; i had a set of them in my storage. I intended to use them in the Baja Bug Project.

But in May this year i found a set of fantastic fiberglass Highback seats from Kamei, a German Aftermarket accessory parts enterprise for aircooled VW's back in the days.

For German TÜV regulations, at least the drivers seat must be adjustable.. in its position to the steering wheel and the pedals.

So i had to rework (again) the sliding system. I shortened it in width for another 3 Inches and welded it back together.

Pic will follow.
Because there is no regulations for the other seat, i t will remain in one position.
