Two questions, if I may.
I recently acquired a Hazet 2566:
Looking online, I see it described as a "slotted nut" tool and as a "dash escutcheon" tool. Remembering back to the early VWs I owned many years back and reasoning from the two descriptions online, I'm thinking it's for the nuts that retain the switches (headlight, wipers) in the dash. Is that correct?
Uppercase vs. lowercase "A" in the name "Hazet":
I see, in multiple locations, references to whether the "A" in "Hazet" is uppercase or lowercase on a tool. What's the significance of this? |

IDK about the 'A" in Hazet.
But that is an escutcheon tool for sure. Nice find! _________________ I have learned over the years.

From the thread linked below it sounds to me like Hazet changed from lower to upper case in the mid 60s.
