Well here I’m one more time and my LAST BUILD
My Dream Model own a T34 Cabriolet
And the only way I see it to come true
Is making my Own Build
These pictures posted is the Only 1962 Prototype
Wish Doesn’t Exist anymore
In my search sounds like nobody knows where it is or
What happened to it
There’s a Rumor it was Upgraded and was ended as a 1963
But this is just a Rumor
All Originals Cabrios T34 you seen and exist NOW are ALL 1963
So here is were im interest to bring this 1962 Model Prototype Back
There are many differences and Unique Changes between 1962 and 1963
1962 ONLY as we know The Ghia Emblem is on Rear body next to the Tail light
And also the Cabriolet Prototype came with TWO Karmann Script on BOTH sides Left & Rigth side Panels and The Unique 1500 Front 1962 Only Badge
Also Two Tone Rims with Lemmerz Rings
When the 1963 T34 rims were one Color Black with Beauty Rings
Little by little I will show ALL the Unique Details of this Rare Prototype _________________ 68 T34 1600 Automatic

April 23 2020 bought this Early 1962 from Steven Reyda
In Canada
I believe was when COVID-19 started and the Panic Began
Border Cross and Customs Agency Closed
Since then was still in Canada ALL this time till Today July 16 2022
Steven Reyda made the 62 cross the border and drop
Off to Good Friend Bennie In Washington and stay there for another Month aprox
Until Eric and Kathleen Hand made this LONG road trip
from Stockton to Washington and back to Stockton and Today to San Diego Ca

That looks like a good donor for what you have in mind. Should also help Jason (Notchboy), as he'll be getting with you to do his own convertible T-34.
Looking forward to seeing progress pics as this one gets done. Should be very interesting. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

OH I get it-I brought a '73 Super Beetle back that was in HORRIBLE condition. Very rusty to say the least. I love seeing cars that should by most reasonable accounts, be scrapped, brought back to life. |

Have you thought about how the convertible top will be designed/adapted? On the Type 1 Ghia Coupe, the door glass has a sharp corner at the upper rear, the rear edge is nearly straight vertical, and there's the small rear quarter window. Type 1 Ghia Cabrio has a well rounded door glass at upper rear, the rear edge is canted rearward, and the top eliminates the quarter window. Can you match those style characteristics to the T34? These images are from the '63 Ghia brochure in the tS archives.

T34 Cabriolets Vinyl Upholstery was Standard
Not for ME living in SoCal
Our Weather and The Vinyl get Very HOT since most of the time
I would be driving with the Top Down
So I will Upgraded with Cloth just like a Standard Coupe
Two Tone Silver Beige Vinyl and Red Cloth
1962 Prototype Cabrio was the Only one came with Two Tone Upholstery
The 1963 Cabríos are Monotone Vinyl _________________ 68 T34 1600 Automatic
