I have a European floor mount ignition/ trans lock.
It has come apart & the start detent return spring is now missing. I sure a have a close enough spring .....just can't figure out where it went. Seems to function well but can now be bumped into start at any time without that spring.
A picture or drawing of the inside would be very helpful. |

There were more than one shifter lock manufacture. An image of what you have would be helpful, even if it is apart. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

That is a Sperrwolf shifter lock. Unfortunately I have not taken that style of ignition switch apart, so can not help you directly. There is a good thread on the three versions of the lock and many in the know about Sperrwolf here:

You should post your question or at least a link to your present thread here on that thread. Hope this helps. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

You are welcome. You might try also editing your thread title to include "Sperrwolf", so it will may attract someone who has taken apart the switch, and gotten it back together with success.
I have tried some various searches of both the forums and gallery with no luck so far.
Please do update on how you fix it. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Eric & Barb
No missing spring. If you see the heavy wire about 530 on the open switch, that's the spring. Just take more leverage then handheld. Put it back together & there it was all along.
Thank you for your assistance.

Glad to hear you got it back where it belongs! Would be great if you updated the title for the next fellow with same problem to find easier. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |
