| Has any one install porsche 356 c/sc disc brakes on a vw type 1 ...also will the 356c/sc spindles bolt up the the vw beam , and will the porsce 356c/sc axles and axle tubes bolt up to 61up transmission... |

Yes. They all fit.
However - last time I needed to scrounge cheap 356 trans parts the most applicable parts came from split-case VW trans. The entire differential, axles and all, from a 741 trans will swap to a split case VW trans and vice-versa.
There are some differences, the Porsche stuff is better in every way- but it WILL swap. There are details on the axles tubes that aren't right. And I think I might have had to swap the end castings due to the shock mount position and shape. I think to get them onto a tunnel case VW trans you'd just swap the end castings from the axle tubes and use the 356 disc brake setup.
The front is more-or-less a direct swap I think- except the inner front wheel bearing on the 356 is larger. The spindle/ stub axle is slightly bigger diameter where that bearing sits. But, not a problem if you're using the 356 spindles complete.
I actually put a differential from a 58' bug right into a 356/741 trans, axles and everything. This was a while back, galaxy far far away.
In the dirt and snow in the winter, engine still in the car.

Don't the front brake components "only fit" a link pin style front beam, thus thru '65 Type 1 model year? But not the balljoint style from '66 on? |

Shoot. Yeah. 150 Vw's and Porsches and I don't think I've ever owned a bug w/ ball joint front beam!
Good point, but for BJ cars you can just use Porsche pattern rotors...not much need for expensive C/SC brake swap. Could Probably do 944 brakes and come out ahead at that.
IF you were gonna do it on BJ car it would be a definite thing to note.

Yeah I notice that the rear axle tubes for the 356c/sc disc breaks has the bracket for the caliper so if the end castings would have to be changed I would have a problem with the calipers ... |
