Can't say that this woman ever stole a Vanagon, but her thought processes are likely the same as the ones that do.

Moved from Vanagon as it's not a VW topic.

I hear stories like this and I know the situation is complex, but I can't help but wonder, how many crimes does someone have to commit before they actually put them behind bars?

From the article: "The records also show Juge failed to appear in court on the charges – a frequent occurrence after quick releases from jail following arrest on non-violent felony offenses."

Really? When you arrest a felon and then let them go, they frequently don't show up for their court dates? I'm shocked!

In Chicago you can commit as many crimes as you want. They never catch anyone.

Funny how everyone has excuses for the alledged mentally ill, until they get attacked by one! At least here in California. What do you think YOU would do if I stole your precious VW and claimed mental illness? You would probably kick my arse!!!

Isn't that the source of the phrase "hissy fit"?

Spank 'em and send them to their room to think about their misbehavior.

Or the adult version, put them in jail for a while.

Oh, that's Cruel and Unusual now.

This crap happened real close to me. I’m not sure which group I’m pissed at more. The junkies or the city for letting the junkies continue to steal and harm it’s citizens. I’m losing empathy for both parties Mad

Histrionic Personality Disorder: "A person with histrionic personality disorder seeks attention, talks dramatically with strong opinions, is easily influenced, has rapidly changing emotions, and thinks relationships are closer than they are."

So, basically everyone born after 1993.
