Hello Ghia community-
I've looked and can't find any solid information on what type of metal finishing- plating VW had on their hardware, latches, etc.. per model year.
I did find a vague reference that it was Black Oxide in the earlier years then switched to Cadmium in the 70s; but the poster was not sure which years or what parts.
Any leads on a year to year basis for hardware metal finishing? |
