Hello,
On a '71 ghia with the fuel gauge still mounted in the dash I've removed the fuel gauge light holder unit, little black thing, so I could replace the burnt bulb, which I've done, but now for the life of me I can't get twist the holder unit back in.
I managed to unseat it with a pair of pliers but now I just can't get a good angle with my hand, or pliers, to twist the thing back in.
Any suggestions? I was wondering about trying to just pop the gauge out but haven't tried that yet as I'm not sure how it comes out? Does it come out forward into the car, or backward into the trunk? Or should I not mess with that and keep trying to twist that holder unit back in from under the hood?
Really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Please disregard! I got the light holder set. I just had to persist a little longer and realized I just wasn't inserting it the right way to begin with which was why I couldn't twist it.
Got all my dash lights working now! Pic attached.
Just out of curiosity, in the speedometer what is the purpose of the indicator to the right of the high beam? (under the 60) I've heard once it might be for auxiliary fog lights?
In another posting here it looks like someone had it wired to come on with the regular head lights (although i might be wrong) but in my 71 ghia I don't see any extra wires for it, nor do I see any wire in the schematic that would indicate that. My speedo just has tape over that indicator and the ATF, although the atf tape has come off and I took the pic with the hood open which is why some light is coming in and making it glow a bit red.
Anyway not important, just curious!
thanks all
