you will have to find an automatic starter from a mk1 diesel, yes they came with automatics rare to find though _________________ ~Jay

They do make diesel automatic starters. I have one in my 1.8L gas Cabriolet.
As far as I am concerned, before I dove into finding one [good luck, they are hard to find and rebuildable cores are even harder], you may want to make certain all the cables going to the starter are good. As in, get rid of the factory cables and replace them with no less than 2ga welding cable. Both the power and ground cables. Whatever is going to crank over that engine will appreciate it. |
