Hi Guys,I wonder if anybody might be able to help me out with an issue regarding my Ghia front seats?
I want to try and make a set of seats for my Ghia out of leather.
It may turn out to be too hard or I may watch enough YouTube videos and manage to make something half decent
The problem is, the seats are damaged/worn out and the beige covers I have on a the moment may not even be period correct?
So I need to source a pattern makers pattern in a pdf form, paper or an old seat itself?
One option is too buy a vinyl seat cover and then unpick it, but that seems like a waste of money. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers
Russell

This is a photo gallery of a very original 66 coupe formerly owned by a Samba forum member. The front and rear seat covers are original. Most 66 front seats were vinyl with a 12 inch basketweave insert with six 2" pleats. Rear seat was a full face basketweave insert with no pleats.
Cloth inserts were also an option, so if the front seats had a 12" cloth insert (again with six 2" pleats), the rear seat would have a matching full face cloth insert (again with no pleats).
