Hi Guys, my 12v 65 with a 1970 1600 needs a new battery cable. The voltage regulator is in the engine compartment.
I see a new positive battery cable with a second red wire for the voltage regulator. Is this for when the regulator is mounted under the seat. Could that extra red wire go out the grommet to the voltage regulator in the engine compartment.
Or, how would you wire this up.
Thank you! _________________ 1965 Beetle, AE 1070-1971 1600cc 60hp 12v |

Get the battery cables for your year of VW from Wolfsburg West. Yes, get both of them, WW makes them just like the original factory ones and they are superior to any you would buy elsewhere. Plus as long as you do not over tighten the clamps, the WW brass battery clamps will long outlast the cheap lead clamps everyone else sells.
Would use the stock positive cable in the engine compartment wiring harness to connect the regulator to the rest of the wiring system. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |
