I have a 1967 Type 1 convertible. I have the hard to find convertible seatbelts. I restored them and posted pictures. I received a message saying they were not for the 67 beetle but for the 67 Karmann Ghia as on the plastic housing is has part # 143-15-09-061. The metal base shows KL MODII-4-469. I know the 67 VIN starts with 157. I pulled these out of a 67 VW from a bone yard. I had another 67 years ago with convertible seatbelts that were identical to these. However i don’t have a picture to confirm the part number. So is there anybody out there able to help confirm that these are correct for the beetle only, or the Karmann Ghia only or are they OK for both?
Thanks. Q |

Yep... https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=708800
The short housings are for Ghia Sedan, Ghia Convertible and Beetle Convertible.
Note: The center tunnel chrome clip attachment hoop bar is different Ghia vs Beetle
There should be a label found on the belt webbing when its fully pulled out
